US Election Day 2020 | Manhattan, New York City

November 7, 2020

I wasn’t living in New York at that time but came back that week to soak in the atmosphere, whichever way it would have turned. That day was nothing short of incredible. The shouting and honking started at 11:35am, and didn’t stop by the time I went to sleep. As if the city had awoken from a very long slumber, whether it be the last four years, or the last eight months. How ironic that someone’s own hometown could unanimously hate them so much, I can’t even imagine what that would feel like. We’re far from perfect, but it’s a big win for progress, a big win for equality, a big win for my country that I love so much 🇺🇸❤️
